Clackamas County has an immediate opening for an Equity & Inclusion Program Coordinator to research, develop, plan, and implement projects and activities that will have a significant impact on our equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) efforts. Located within the Office of Equity and Inclusion and under the leadership of the County Equity & Inclusion Officer (CEIO), this new position will take a front seat on designing, developing and implementing multiple high-level, complex programs. The selected candidate will facilitate the processing of critical EDI functions and tasks and manage special projects to help with the delivery of quality services and make the county reflective of all segments of society and reflective of the diversity of clients we serve. The Equity & Inclusion Program Coordinator is responsible will serve as a technical resource for EDI program information and planning, identifying, researching, conducting and managing strategic and comprehensive studies and operational improvement projects to address challenging EDI issues. There will be a focus on helping Clackamas County create and maintain a clear vision for recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce. The selected candidate will work closely with county management to incorporate EDI best-practices and county policies to advance workplace equity and build external relationships with partners who can help us better understand the experiences of our residents. This position will assist the CEIO in providing staff support and consultation to elected officials, department directors, and different business units on EDI program issues, projects and activities. The Equity & Inclusion Program Coordinator reports directly to the CEIO. The County's Office of Equity and Inclusion is housed within County Administration.
