Under general supervision, performs standard police work in the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances, generally consisting of routine patrol, preliminary investigations and traffic regulation duties.

Responsible for performing professional engineering activities in support of municipal operations and growth for civil engineering infrastructure projects.   Duties include managing the design, bidding, and construction administration of various types of projects to meet City standards.  Work requires the use of independent judgment and discretion, combined with strong communication and collaboration skills.
