NATURE OF WORK This is highly responsible and complex administrative and managerial work planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the Department of Finance. The Director of Finance also serves as Budget Officer and City Treasurer and as such has general management responsibility of all operations of the Finance Department. Work involves responsibility for planning, organizing, and directing all operations of the Department of Finance, including accounting and internal control; payroll; accounts payable and receivable; utility billing; customer service; collection, disbursement, investment of all City funds; debt management; and other fiscal activities.
