The vision of the City of Newberg is to cultivate a healthy, safe environment where residents and visitors can work, play and grow in a friendly, dynamic and diverse community, valuing partnerships and opportunity.
The City of Newberg and Yamhill County are home to a population of qualified persons, including women, veterans, black, indigenous and people of color, persons with disabilities, generational groups, persons who speak many languages and are of diverse national origins. The City encourages persons with non-traditional skill sets and experiences to apply for positions.
Newberg is the gateway to Oregon wine country, the home of George Fox University, PCC campus, Roger’s Landing access to the Willamette River and the Hoover-Minthorn House. The School District serves both the cities of Newberg and Dundee with a combined population near 30,000 persons in addition to a growing commercial, tourism, arts and business community. The region is near to, but not part of the Portland metropolitan area. Here agriculture, urban comforts, a rich history and an exciting future blend into a unique community and a great place to grow.
