Longmont, Colorado is located in scenic Boulder County in Colorado's front range. With more than 1,500 acres of parks and open space, Longmont is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. The City of Longmont's Public Works and Natural Resources department (PWNR) provides the City's nearly 100,000 residents with water, wastewater, storm drainage, and solid waste services, along with maintaining Longmont's streets, parks, trails, and open spaces.
This role is term-limited for 3 years during the implementation of a software system. It's a great opportunity to become familiar with the City, and gain or leverage hands-on experience with supporting a wide variety of services.
This position performs a wide variety of journey level programming and other technical tasks to implement and support PWNR’s database management systems which include CMMS systems (computerized maintenance management systems), AVL (automated vehicle locating), and mobile data programs. The position is responsible for installation, configuration, testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, custom reporting, data analysis, and audit assistance. The analyst also manages the application security process including user setup, role and privilege definition, security permissions and overseeing the installation and/or upgrade of software releases.
