The Finance Department is an internal support department that provides General Accounting, Finance, Tax Administration, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Purchasing, and Utility Billing for the following agencies: City of Coachella, Coachella Sanitary District, Coachella Fire Protection District, Coachella Financing Authority, Coachella Educational and Governmental Access Cable Channel Corporation, Coachella Water Authority, and Successor Agency to the Coachella Redevelopment Agency. Under the administrative direction of the City Manager, the Finance Director manages all functions and activities of the Finance Department. The Finance Director directs and administers the fiscal operations and activities of the City including budgeting, investments, financial transaction processing, record keeping and reporting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, utility billing, and business licensing. The City of Coachella is seeking a knowledgeable, collaborative, and innovative leader to serve as its next Finance Director.
