The City of Beaverton is excited to announce the opening for a Real Estate Acquisition and Development Program Coordinator. This position is housed within the City’s Development Division, a team within the Community Development Department, whose mission is to help build a livable, equitable, and inclusive community by strategically implementing the city’s development, urban revitalization, housing and parking goals.
The successful candidate will assist with coordination and administration of development related projects and programs on behalf of the City and the Beaverton Urban Redevelopment Agency (BURA) and act as a representative for the City and BURA in communications with diverse stakeholders and consultants.
An ideal candidate will be a highly organized individual who can coordinate a variety of challenging projects maintaining schedules and adhering to budgets. They also will have experience with real estate acquisition, disposition, project management and understand the principles and practices of managing schedules, transaction management, and related real estate activities. The person in this role will communicate and work effectively with a diverse team of professionals and community members. They will also have clear and streamlined written and verbal communication skills with the ability to target messaging to an audience.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in real estate, urban planning, architecture, economics, finance, or related field and 2 years of program coordination experience pertinent to area of assignment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience enabling the incumbent to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial real estate and/or community or economic development principles and practices.
- Knowledge of commercial real estate acquisition and disposition activities including due diligence.
- Ability to pass reference checks, a background check and a degree verification check.
