Current Village Administrator is retiring after 21 years of service. Future emphasis on capital improvement planning/implementation (including a new library in 2021, new village hall, new senior center with senior living residential units, various park improvements and WWTP upgrades); updating of Village Financial Management, 10 Year Staffing and Outdoor Comprehensive Recreation Plans and the proactive implementation of the recently adopted Oregon Comprehensive Plan, including an emphasis in affordable housing projects.
Require Bachelor’s Degree in public or business administration or related field; prefer Master’s Degree with at least seven years of progressively responsible administrative and leadership experience in a municipal organization(s). ICMA-CM certification a plus. Consideration of candidates with private sector or military experience will be made if they can demonstrate accomplishments that directly relate to skills required. Residency in the Village or Oregon School District is highly preferred. Desire a strong background in capital improvement planning and execution; budget development and debt financing (including TID experience); human resources administration; intergovernmental relations and organizational change and development. The successful candidate should have a collaborative style in carrying out governing body policies; possess a high degree of emotional intelligence; have acute listening skills (seeking to first understand and then to respond); be innovative and an out of the box thinker; be able to work harmoniously with elected officials including other governmental entities and have a history of stable tenures in previous positions.
