Job Description

Wenham, MA (5,100 pop.), a vibrant, quintessential New England community located within the seacoast area of northeastern Mass., seeks an experienced and proactive leader to serve as Town Administrator. Candidates should be community and team oriented, have excellent communication skills, and be interested in at least a 5-year tenure. Strong financial acumen, economic development experience, an understanding of regional school districts, and small-town municipal administration experience is preferred. Wenham’s local government is led by a three-member Board of Selectmen, has an open Town Meeting form of government, a AAA rating, and an FY21 budget of approximately $21M. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in public administration or a related field and a minimum of five years of progressive municipal management and leadership experience. The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package including health and retirement plans and an annual salary of $135K+/- DOQ.  Wenham is an EOE.
