The PT GIS Technician is a temporary position with the City of Naperville’s Public Works Department. This position will be populating GIS geodatabases related to various databases such as Water and Wastewater, Storm Sewers, Street Signs, Forestry and Street Lights.
Responsibilities:
The GIS Technician will complete field data collection of existing assets using GPS equipment and merging of the data into existing GIS databases. Working knowledge of GIS and Microsoft Office is required, but the individual in this role will be trained on the identification of assets in the field and on blueprints, along with the use of City GPS equipment.
This part-time position is 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Working hours are flexible, but will be scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
