Strategic acumen: Provide strategic direction and tactical problem solving. You see the big picture and are able to counsel and connect dots for the leadership team, community partners and employees.
Drive initiatives: Partner with all departments to support and guide their communication plans and strategies to help deliver on community and organizational goals.
Great people skills: Coordinate an interdisciplinary communications team of passionate employees from across the organization. Building strong coalitions up, down and throughout the organization.
A successful first year: Develop strategic relationships within the organization and community, review the current communications landscape, explore and recommend marketing and communication mediums.

Ability to innovate and set trends engaging with community leaders, residents and City departments

Help guide social and environmental initiatives by crafting the message for a community that leads.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience managing communications, marketing or PR programs and projects
- Experience with design programs and media platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in communications or public relations or
- Equivalent education, experience, and training that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities
