This is a Limited Term position. Persons appointed to limited term positions will be designated as limited duration employees whose appointment shall not exceed two (2) years except for the extension of grants or funding from outside sources.
The Bureau of Planning & Sustainability (BPS) is seeking an Analyst II for the Age Friendly Cities Program. This position will lead the research, analysis, program design and engagement to promote age-friendly policies and practices in city government and the community at-large. The program will also focus on the intersection of the issues and needs of aging populations and communities of color. With a high degree of autonomy and self-direction, this position develops and manages complex project budgets, negotiates and drafts contracts and agreements, monitors contract compliance, and oversees and reviews work of project staff and consultants.
The position exercises a broad range of creative and critical investigative skills, judgment, and discretion in formulating policy recommendations. The position applies various quantitative and qualitative research and analysis tools and methods. The types of analysis include financial and budgeting, equity considerations, client needs, policy development, and program development. This position works closely with city planning, housing and transportation professionals, elected officials, and community partners concerned with social justice, racial equity, and affordable housing.
