Lane Council of Governments (LCOG) seeks an Adult Protective Services (APS) Specialist for its Senior & Disability Services (S&DS) Division. Evaluates APS complaints and incidents regarding possible abuse against seniors and people with disabilities. Examines and analyzes evidence from financial, legal, medical, police, facility, and other records. Determines the course of action, and establishes the plan of inquiry, scope, timing, and direction of investigation. Spanish bilingual preferred.
Wage Range: $24.38 - $33.23 per hour
(Note: Employees who provide bilingual services to the agency – translation to and from English from another language in which they are fluent – receive a 3.5% wage differential over this base.)
(Note: On July 1, 2021, S&DS positions will receive a 2.08% wage increase.)
Bachelors’ degree in social work and three years of progressively responsible experience working in human service programs, preferably with seniors or people with disabilities, or any combination of education and experience that provides the occupant with the desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the job. Medical knowledge, certification such as an RN degree, and previous adult protective service experience desirable.
Valid Oregon State driver's license.
Passing a background check is required for this position.
