The employee in this class will act as one of the core members of leadership team for Information Services and will provide support to all enterprise data initiatives. The central objective of this role is to ensure that the organization’s Data Management disciplines are running effectively and meeting the business’s needs regarding data. CDO must be able to understand both the technical points of Data Management, as well as the business drivers and needs regarding data. The CDO establishes data policies, standards, organization, and enforcement of Enterprise Information Management concepts. The CDO also oversees and reports on data metrics and has executive-level responsibility for all enterprise information/data management, budgeting, and initiatives. The person in this position will make data accessible and will be able to create efficiencies in business processes and customer service based on an enterprise approach to data that will break down organizational data silos. Reports to the Chief Information Officer.
