The Beaverton City Library has a brand-new position that will oversee reference services and programming for all ages across both the Main Library and the Murray Scholls Branch Library and supervise a team of staff based at the Main Library. As a member of the library’s leadership team, this Supervisor will also lead library-wide initiatives and committees.
This is an exempt, Management 2 classified position. This position works evening and weekend hours. The classification of this position is Library Supervisor.
The Beaverton City Library’s newly created Public Services team brings together Access Services, Reference Services, and Programming staff under one umbrella. This new team is charged with providing and iterating exceptional service to patrons from getting a library card, to finding a next great read, to connecting with new friends in a program. We strive to keep our community at the center of decisions and the work we do. In this role, your focus will be reference services and programming, but you’ll also work collaboratively with the Public Services Manager as well as the Access Services and Branch Supervisors to support the library’s vision of being the foundation for an engaged and thriving community.

Salary Range: $5,261.74 - $7,051.26 monthly
Starting salary will be determined depending on relevant work experience as outlined in the Equal
Pay Act. New hires who meet minimum requirements will start at step one. Higher steps may be
offered to those who have additional years of directly related experience to the position.
The city pays the full retirement contribution to PERS; provides employees with an opportunity to
participate in a deferred compensation retirement plan; makes available a public service loan
forgiveness program and tuition reimbursement program; and offers excellent health, dental,
vision and life insurance coverage.
