Job Description


Under minimal direction, provides administrative functions of the 11 divisions within the Public Works Department. Work consists of financial, budget and procurement activities, public communications and development, and business and administrative support for multiple divisions.  Assists the Director of Public Works in ensuring departmental compliance with City policies and procedures. 


This is a fast paced, non-supervisory position, which requires multitasking and independent judgment. The ability to learn and work in multiple computer programs is required. Duties include performing clerical work requiring application of various complex work methods and procedures, in accordance with the laws and regulations controlling the employing department, and with departmental functions, policies and practices.
