The City of Lenexa is currently accepting applications for indoor Lifeguards within the Parks and Recreation Department. Gain valuable customer service and team-oriented skills while serving our community at our Lenexa Rec Center.
Hours: 8am-4pm; Monday through Friday.
Lifeguards are responsible for the overall daily operation of the City’s swimming pools. The Lifeguard is responsible for the supervision of pool patrons, maintaining training standards, daily pool maintenance and operational activities, and record keeping. Duties also include enforcing aquatic facility rules and policies, guarding and attending to swimmers, and performing first aid and emergency procedures as required.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Rate of pay: Starting pay is $10.00 per hour. City residency not required.
Offers of employment are conditional upon successful completion of pre-employment drug screen. A background check is required if age 18 or older.
