Engaging events connect and celebrate our diverse community. The Events Division of the Community Services and Engagement Department creates, hosts, and sponsors educational, engaging, family-friendly events and activities for the public. These events bring our residents together to build a stronger community. The city is excited to announce an opening for a Support Specialist 2 to join the Events team and assist with the memorable and welcoming events throughout the city.
The Support Specialist 2 will be integral in sustaining the city’s robust events program by assisting the events team with program development, implementation, and post-event evaluation. They will be part of a team of excellent service providers for internal and external stakeholders by collaborating across city departments to enhance events throughout the community. This position requires evening and weekend work, especially during the summer season. The working conditions involve frequent lifting, pulling, set up and carrying of equipment, and occasional long hours.
This is a non-exempt, SEIU-classified position. There is one vacancy.
