The City of McMinnville is looking for our next Environmental Services Supervisor at our Water Reclamation Facility. The primary responsibility of this position is to supervise and coordinate the City’s Industrial Pretreatment Program, Water Reclamation Facility laboratory, mobile waste hauler, stormwater monitoring, facility and Municipal Airport stormwater permits, annual Hazardous Substance Survey, and Temperature Management Program. Duties include responsibility for water quality programs focusing on permitting, monitoring and enforcement in satisfying conditions of National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) wastewater, and stormwater permits and their related regulatory requirements.
Any combination of education and experience that prepares you for this role will be considered. A typical way to meet the qualifications for this position is to have a bachelor's degree in chemistry, microbiology, environmental science, or a related field and at least three years of experience working in an industrial pretreatment program, an environmental laboratory, or a wastewater treatment facility, and one year of supervisory experience. Though not required we'd like to see our Environmental Services Supervisor have experience with a Class IV wastewater treatment facility and possess their Class II or higher Wastewater Treatment Operator certificate.
