Job Description

This is an exciting time to join the First Arriving team to support our marketing channels to drive lead generation and adoption of the First Arriving dashboard product. The individual that ultimately is placed in this role will be exposed to a variety of facets including but not limited to email, social media and event-based marketing.

This is an incredible opportunity for someone who has a few years of experience but is looking to grow and add to their expanding skill set.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating and supporting the company’s marketing funnel including but not limited to our email marketing activities, social media presence, website content and digital advertising channels.
  • Assist in creating and managing an editorial calendar to ensure content is timely, relevant, and engaging. Manage distribution of email newsletters/blog posts.
  • Manage development of new and existing relevant social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook,Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Vimeo). Keep up to date and informed on new social media trends and adapt accordingly. Manage organic and paid growth of social media channels.
  • Develop analytics and reporting to track growth and success of campaigns.
  • Assist in planning and managing events, webinars, conferences and tradeshows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating pre and post show outreach.
  • Continually seek and research new sources of prospective customers and provide recommendations to sales and marketing leadership.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or communications
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Marketing/Sales or Communications.
  • Experience using Hubspot or similar CRM, WordPress, Adobe InDesign, Canva and G Suite.
  • A power-user of major social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube, Vimeo).
  • Experience managing paid advertising on digital platforms through search, display and social.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics or similar tools.
  • Detail-oriented, excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, employ good judgment, and manage projects from beginning to end.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to anticipate next steps or needs.
  • Local government or tech background is preferred but not required.

Required Experience:

  • Marketing: 2 years
  • CRM: 1 year

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or communications or equivalent experience

Location
Our office is based in Hanover County just outside of Richmond, Virginia. Local applicants are preferred but we will consider hybrid / remote / out of area for the right candidate.
