Job Description

Clackamas County's Department of Finance is seeking an experienced professional who enjoys a fast-paced environment and has a track record of collaboration, communication, and organizational development to be our next Deputy Director.

Finance's Deputy Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, and administering a comprehensive system of management functions in accordance with revenue and expenditure limitations, department requirements, and legal guidelines. This position reports to and partners closely with the Finance Director to achieve the department's mission and goals. In addition, the Deputy Director leads organizational effectiveness by managing the department's operational functions. This position will focus on continual process and operations improvements, oversee the department's daily operations, and develop and monitor the department's use of resources.

The Department of Finance provides financial administration of the county's governmental operations. Areas of responsibility include budgeting, payroll, general accounting, accounts payable and receivable, grants administration, contract management, debt management, cost allocation, and financial reporting. The department also oversees Facilities Management and Procurement & Contracts for the County.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

PAY AND BENEFITS

The salary range for this position is $121,141.81 - $163,541.67 annually (plus 6.27% deferred compensation and 6% retirement contribution). Salary offers will be made within the posted pay range and will be based on a candidate's experience (paid or unpaid) that is directly relevant to the position.
