As a Senior Utility Engineer for the City, you will be managing utility capital improvement program projects and providing engineering support for water and wastewater treatment plants and distribution/collection systems.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assists in the development and implementation of the City's capital improvement program, Utility Master Plans, and utility impact fee studies.
  • Prepare utility project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Prepare technical documents necessary to support ordinance requests to the City Council.
  • Coordinate and provide utility engineering-related support to other City departments including but not limited to Development Services and Public Works.
  • Performs plant operations and maintenance engineering support, such as reviewing equipment operation and design.
  • Other duties as assigned.

If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have previous experience in Civil engineering concepts, practices, and procedures related to utility.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science Degree, Civil Engineering.
  • 6+ years of experience as a professional engineer performing work consistent with the essential functions of this position, preferably within a municipal or county government and with an emphasis on Utility projects.
  • Valid Class C driver's license and good driving record.
