As an Aquatics Maintenance Technician for the City, you will be focusing on Aquatics responsibilities and duties by performing a variety of skilled and routine work in pool maintenance requiring specialized knowledge and skills.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Maintains pool chemistry and circulation at proper levels.
  • Responsible for pool heater maintenance and operation.
  • Performs water tests and calibrates automation.
  • Checks pumps, filters, and motors.
  • Performs maintenance and repairs of pool equipment.

If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have previous experience with specified vehicles, equipment, and hand tools as well as strenuous, continuous physical activity.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in Pool Maintenance; or an acceptable combination of education, experience, or training as determined by the Department.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO), Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO), or equivalent certifications or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
