Building Permit Technician I-II or Analyst

The City is looking for one full-time, on-site, Building Permit Technician employee to support our Building Division in the Community Development Department. 

The City has three Building Permit positions (Technician I, Technician II, and Analyst). We are seeking the best qualified applicant that can demonstrate an ability to perform the work of the position they would fill as determined by the applicant’s ability to meet the minimum/special qualifications. The Building Division of the Community Development Department is responsible for all things related to permitting and building inspections. We currently contract out all of our building plan review and inspection services. Our building department handles all permits and coordination with our inspectors.

The Hiring Pay range for each position is as follows:
*Technician I - $18.82 - $21.30 per hour
*Technician II - $20.80 - $23.53 per hour
*Analyst - $24.76-$27.98 per hour

Minimum Qualifications for the Technician I position:
*High school diploma or equivalent, plus verifiable technical certification related to the position or advanced demonstrable technical knowledge; and
*At least one year of experience as trade worker/construction labor in a building safety regulated state, plus one year of customer service experience
*This position involves travel and the employee must possess or obtain a valid Oregon Driver's License within 90 days of hire date and maintain a safe driving record
