Job Description

SGR (Strategic Government Resources) is looking for a Webmaster to join our innovative and dynamic team. SGR is one of the largest local government executive search firms in the nation and exists to help local governments become more successful by recruiting, assessing, and developing innovative, collaborative, authentic leaders. Primary services provided by SGR include executive recruitment, interim management placements, candidate, and employee assessments, live and online training, executive coaching, executive team development, governing body workshops, and strategic foresight for local governments.


Under the direction of the Marketing & Communications Manager, the Webmaster plays a key role in supporting all aspects of SGR inbound marketing and website content, including supporting and maintaining website content creation and updates, assisting in maintaining and updating client websites on a contractual basis, assisting with internal website needs for conferences and events, providing website cross-training for internal teams, and continually seeking opportunities and innovations to keep SGR’s website fresh and modern.


SGR seeks candidates with extensive knowledge of website management, analytics, design, and SEO best practices and standards, and who are excited about becoming contributing members of our exceptional team for our new Webmaster. Candidates with demonstrated experience in web design and technical communications will be successful. Any combination of experience and certifications/degrees that provide the knowledge and skills to perform the required duties for this position will be considered.


The selected candidate must have expertise in web content management systems, applications, and tools, along with a high proficiency with HTML/CSS, a working knowledge of XML, SQL, JavaScript, and other programming languages, and strong verbal, written, and visual communications skills. The ability to learn new software quickly and an extensive knowledge of digital platforms- Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workplace, Windows, and Apple operating systems, etc.- will be vital. General understanding of technology infrastructures, audio and video recording and editing, HTML, GUI website management, and databases is highly desirable. This person must be comfortable working independently on multiple projects, flexible, able to change priorities rapidly when needed.


SGR is a 100% remote work company and team members are expected to have and maintain adequate internet connectivity and workspace from which to be successful. SGR provides necessary technology and equipment for work operations. Team members communicate frequently each day to ensure excellence in client service delivery. Occasional trips for in-person team meetings and special events, such as conferences, will be required.


Salary range for this position is $55,031 to $64,742 DOE/DOQ. Anticipated work hours for this position are from 8 am - 5 pm CST) Monday - Friday.
