About the Position
The Village of Arlington Heights is seeking a skilled Administrative Assistant for the Health and Human Services Department who will support the Department’s initiatives to provide services to residents of the Village of Arlington Heights which include environmental health, social services, nursing services and services for senior citizens.
In this role, the Administrative Assistant will provide confidential support for the department and will be responsible for a wide range of duties which include providing excellent customer service while greeting visitors and answering phones, supporting with budget preparation and billing, compiling reports and correspondence, ordering, and assisting with clinics and events.
The minimum starting salary for this position is $63,072 and includes a diverse and competitive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, paid vacation, and participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund pension plan. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience working in a busy office environment. Previous experience working in community health, nursing services, or a similar environment is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required. This position is open until filled.
