The City of Hillsboro Water Department is seeking a Development Services Manager to join their dynamic, collaborative team. The Hillsboro Water Department operates at a metropolitan scale from a suburban environment, with responsibilities for local water distribution as well as for regional water supply, providing drinking water supply to nearly 400,000 people. The Water Department is working on a $520 million 10-year capital improvement program. Come join a high functioning, enthusiastic team overseeing plan review, cross connection, and construction inspection.
The Program and Support Manager position cohesively manages a group that includes: inspection, cross connection, plan review, and franchise utility coordination. Responsibilities also include conducting coordination of development services activities between Engineering, Operations, Resources, and other departments such as Public Works and Planning.
The principal function of an employee in this class is supervision of analysts and program management. Incumbents, as assigned, are responsible for oversight of assigned projects from inception to completion including staffing, budget, and contract administration. Incumbents serve as supervisors overseeing staff and conducting performance evaluations.

Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years experience in engineering, planning, or other related experience to area of assignment including 3 years of supervisory experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
