The City of Ashland, Oregon is seeking a knowledgeable Human Resources Director for this vibrant and progressive community of 21,600 tucked among the foothills of southern Oregon's mountainous Rogue Valley. THE HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR 

Reporting to the City Manager, the HR Director is a key advisor to the executive team and will play a vital role in ensuring the City of Ashland is an employer of choice. The City’s Human Resources division coordinates services and programs which assist all city departments in recruiting and maintaining a qualified and diverse workforce, and provides employment-related services to the City's 200+ employees.  The division operates with a budget of $1.1 million and a team of two full-time staff members. Activities include: recruitment, retention, employee relations, training, employee recognition, benefits administration, employee safety, classification, compensation, and labor negotiations.
