BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Works under the direction of the Water Treatment Plant Supervisor this is a responsible working supervisor position which requires technical expertise. Duties include maintaining pumps, equipment, and facilities, and performing and supervising the performance of laboratory tests related to water treatment. This position is classified as essential within the Public Works Utility Department and will adhere to all policies and procedures pertaining to an essential worker.
The Water and Wastewater Utilities provide a vital and necessary public service to the citizens of Cleburne, therefore all employees of the utilities are subject to call out in the event of an emergency situation. This can include before, during, and immediately after a natural or manmade disaster, terrorism, pandemic, and equipment or system failures. As the utilities are in continuous operation emergency call out can occur at any time of the day or night and on any day of the year and can require employees to stay on the job for extended periods of time.
