The City is seeking a collaborative, solution-oriented, and policy-focused candidate to serve as the next City Manager. The ideal candidate must be a hands-on City Manager who is willing to roll up their sleeves and do work with a customer service orientation and a proven track record of getting things accomplished. The City is seeking someone who is approachable with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Successful candidates will be business savvy and offer a wide range of experience with budgets, economic development, infrastructure operations, finance techniques, and creative problem-solving skills. A positive and goal-oriented leader that will foster relationships with the community and all levels of government, but who understands they work at the policy direction of the Mayor and City Council, is desired. Qualified candidates will possess any combination of education and experience that has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for a City Manager. A typical way of obtaining the required qualifications would be possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in public administration, planning, business administration, public finance, or a related field, and five (5) years of related experience at an administrative, management, or staff level in municipal government with at least two (2) years as a manager or supervisor. A Master’s Degree in public administration is highly desirable.
The base salary for the City Manager is $200,000 and placement is dependent on experience and qualifications.
