The City of Yakima needs a supervisor experienced in grants and funding from the US Housing and Urban Development (HUD) related to Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and HOME funds to oversee program administration and compliance.
Boasting an average 300 days of sunshine a year, Yakima is a medium sized city located east of the Cascades, only a few hours from Seattle. Yakima offers easy access to outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, fishing, boating and many other activities nearby.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university and (5) years of progressively responsible work experience in the administration of federally funded or other grant program with an emphasis on state and/or federal community development and experience with federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD) guidelines. Previous lead or supervisory experience is preferred.
Two (2) years additional experience with HUD guidelines and a high school diploma may substitute for required education.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR CERTIFICATES:
Must obtain/possess and maintain a valid Washington State Driver’s License at time of appointment.
