PLANNER I

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: 

 This is a position with a great amount of responsibility and requires considerable technical and professional skills and independent judgement to assist the Planning Manager. Duties primarily involve land use, zoning and related development issues, and serving as a liaison to elected and appointed bodies; conducts a variety of studies to analyze development trends and issues, and advise management; provides support to Community Development Department staff and various boards and committees of the city, primarily the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
