Salary Range: $82,499 - $108,563 annually

About This Opportunity
The City of Hillsboro Water Department is seeking an Inspection Supervisor to join their dynamic, collaborative team. The Hillsboro Water Department operates at a metropolitan scale from a suburban environment, with responsibilities for local water distribution as well as for regional water supply, providing drinking water supply to nearly 400,000 people. The Water Department is working on a $520 million 10-year capital improvement program. Come join a high functioning, enthusiastic team overseeing construction inspection.
The City of Hillsboro currently serves about 85,000 residents with drinking water. In addition, Hillsboro is the managing agency for the Joint Water Commission, a partnership with City of Forest Grove, City of Beaverton, and the Tualatin Valley Water District. The JWC jointly owns a water treatment plant, large storage tanks, and many miles of large transmission lines. Hillsboro is unique in that it’s a small town that manages large assets and has exciting opportunities for project management. This position will oversee a wide range of projects, including waterline replacements, finished water tank repairs, water treatment plant upgrades, and pump replacements.
General Statement of Duties
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor or Associate degree in construction management or equivalent experience in construction inspection and or management.
Acceptable Experience and Training
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, Project Management or a closely related field and 2 years of experience in assigned area of responsibility, including 1 year of lead or supervisory experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
