The City of Naperville’s Police Department Records Section seeks an individual to receive and process law enforcement information for the Naperville Police Department, and to perform a variety of general office/clerical duties in a highly customer service-oriented environment. This is a temporary position (possibly for a 3-4 month duration) that will work Monday-Friday, day shift (40 hours/week) and is ineligible for City benefits, time off, etc.

Duties

The duties of this temporary position in the Records Section will include data-entry, scanning, indexing, auditing and filing. The selected candidate will address phone calls, respond to internal and customer windows, and collect and process various fees to include parking citations, animal control fines, etc. This includes financial balancing responsibilities and performing additional office/clerical functions as required.

Qualifications

Successful candidates must possess demonstrated problem solving skills, intrapersonal skills, data-entry, customer service skills and experience. One must be able to multi-task and meet time-sensitive deadlines; they must also be able to work effectively within a team. A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required. Additionally, knowledge of computer operations to include word processing, spreadsheets, electronic communications and record retrieval skills preferred.
