Job Description
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
To insure compliance of new or existing property, in a clean and safe condition and safe from dangerous conditions according to current codes and city ordinance.
Under general supervision, performs inspections of buildings and premises to enforce compliance with fire codes, city codes and ordinances, and laws pertaining to the safety and wellbeing of the public. Duties include fire safety education, issuing fire permits, examining plans; inspecting construction in progress; and inspecting existing buildings, structures and premises for code violations. Have a working understanding of the current adopted International Fire Code, International Property Maintenance Code, Existing Building Code, and City of Cleburne Code of Ordinance.
