Job Description

The Housing Authority of Clackamas County (HACC) seeks an experienced, highly motivated, and visionary development professional to join our team as our next Affordable Housing Development Director. 

The Affordable Housing Development Director is responsible for planning, directing, managing, and implementing HACC housing development goals, objectives, policies, and priorities.  The incumbent is responsible for negotiating capitalization and finance of HACC units both for new development and for rehabilitation.  The Affordable Housing Development Director will also conceptualize and implement complex real estate development projects or initiatives and ensure such projects are administered and completed according to established guidelines. The incumbent will need to lead a staff of 3 to 5 FTE in the management and implementation of HACC development and redevelopment activities, professional and technical staff, and consultants, and serve as the liaison for complex real estate development and finance projects.  

The Affordable Housing Development Director’s role requires excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to collaborate with staff, elected officials, government agencies, community members, and other key stakeholders. We are looking for someone who can successfully present the county’s message in front of a diverse array of audiences. The ideal candidate will establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff, elected officials, and the community to best represent HACC and Clackamas County.

HACC is an independent public corporation that provides Public Housing, Affordable Housing, Housing Choice vouchers, and resident services to low-income residents of  Clackamas County.
