POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision, the Strategic Business Analyst utilizes complex data to provide support for strategy formulation, business development, and forecasting. This position will be responsible for understanding Water Utility Services data, providing detailed analysis and reports, preparing, and presenting presentations, managing regulatory reports, managing projects such as monitoring of dairies or asset management system setup, and aiding the Director/Deputy Director in drawing insight from our data, including creating dashboards, visualization, algorithms, and business tools for use across Water Utility Services. This position will assist in planning and directing the Water Utility Service’s strategic and long-range goals; conducting organizational reviews to identify strengths and weaknesses and to evaluate operational effectiveness; making recommendations based on emerging trends, regulatory trends or changes, internal business process improvement; and assures compliance with state and federal regulations and City policies and goals.
