The Stormwater Technician will join the Stormwater and Environmental Services Division in their work to reduce stormwater runoff impacts to local water bodies by maintaining compliance with the town’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit, regulating the developed community, and educating the public about ways to reduce stormwater runoff pollution. Through outfall reconnaissance, investigations, and inspections, this position works to identify maintenance issues, drainage concerns, and potential sources of pollution in the town's stormwater system. Candidates for this position should have experience in environmental science or engineering or a related field and be ready to work both inside and outside - in sometimes extreme or hazardous conditions.

Hillsborough is a small town with a big history. The downtown historic district, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, features more than 100 homes, churches and buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries.
