Coffeyville is a thriving manufacturing community located in southeast Kansas at the intersection of US Highways 166 and 169 in Montgomery County. It is approximately 70 miles north of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and 70 miles west of Joplin, Missouri. Coffeyville is a great place to call home and raise a family with 8,826 residents within its 7.43 square miles. Coffeyville is served by International Airports in Tulsa and Joplin as well as by Coffeyville Municipal Airport located in the Industrial Park northeast of Coffeyville. The City of Coffeyville is known for its friendly, welcoming, small town atmosphere, rich history and traditions, and quality education.

The City of Coffeyville is a city of the first class operating under a Commission/City Manager form of government. The Commission is made up of five at-large members. Commissioners select the mayor from among themselves. A professional City Manager administers the day-to-day operations of the City. The new City Manager will find Coffeyville a welcoming, diverse community with a high quality of life, plenty of opportunities for growth, and the usual challenges facing communities of similar sizes.

The City seeks a forward thinking, innovative, and proactive finance professional with strong leadership skills and initiative to see Coffeyville to the next phase of revitalization. The ideal candidate will have a background in economic development and the ability to forge strategic partnerships that promote sustainable growth. The selected candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field. A master’s degree is preferred. The City Manager is required to live within the city limits.

The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
