The City of College Station is seeking an experienced and seasoned Business Systems Manager to provide outstanding administrative support to our Economic Development and Tourism team as they engage with organizations interested in bringing their events to our amazing city!
Under general direction of the Economic Development & Tourism Director, the Business Services Manager assists Economic Development & Tourisms’ high level management personnel with budget related work, financial forecasting, and special projects to include performing research, project analysis, and performing expenditure and forecast reporting; provides highly responsible administrative support to the division. This position may be required to work evenings and special events as requested and/or directed.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related field and five (5) years related experience, including two (2) years of leadership experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. In addition, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and excellent written and oral communication skills are essential for success. The ability to organize and coordinate multiple workloads efficiently, set priorities with flexibility, and motivate others is also required for this position. Availability and willingness to assist with after hour and weekend events is key to ensure team and organization support.
