Headquartered in New Braunfels, Canyon Regional Water Authority (CRWA) provides 28,000 acre-feet of treated groundwater and surface water to 11 members and two customers in a 1,700-square-mile area within the 1-35/IH-10 corridor in Central Texas. CRWA serves Guadalupe County, population 166,847, which is located 90 miles from the Gulf of Mexico in south central Texas. A Board of Trustees, consisting of two trustees appointed by each member entity, governs CRWA. It is led by an executive committee comprised of the officers of the Board of Trustees. A separate Board of Managers comprised of managers from the various member entities meets monthly to keep apprised of the organization’s operations and are tasked with providing feedback.
